Aw, geez. What now?

In the wake of newly gathered intelligence...

...Casa de Lefler's threat level is raised from yellow to orange.

I guess we should be thankful Gomez doesn't own a two-subject notebook.

I think I took that class in college.

On the bright side, it's only like 100 sheets of Doom!

there's something to be said of a man with one mind.

Hmmm, I suppose it could be worse? Could say something like "10 easy steps to transforming your summer break into total wrecklamation" compared with wrecklamation, doom doesnt sound so bad.

Oh NOOOOO! Not Doom.
wait what's doom, a video game maybe?
batten down the hatches and prepare for DOOM. whatever that means : )

Anna,

I miss you! WE miss you. By we I mean the entire blogiverse. In fact, as a card carrying Leflerite, I hope everything is okay.

But no-doy, DOOM does not spell okay.

Ann

You know how kids have weird names today, it probably belongs to some kid named Doom Savannah or something.

At least it's not titled "All the people who are going to be sorry." I think that's a plus.

That was my major in college. I graduated first in my class!

Now hold on. As a teacher I've seen my share of student mispellings. It's possible he didn't know how to spell duomo! See, there's always a bright side :) lol

So succinct. So telling. That casa's got smarts.

And so it is, a writer is born.

Gomez has style. Can you just make sure he doesn't have any explosives?

I'd be watchin' out for that little guy underneath the writing...

And I'm with Ann the Rants Queen: WE MISS YOU.

It appears to be a "TOP FLIGHT" type of Doom. Perhaps we should just avoid air travel for a while.

I see a Law and Order episode in your future.

Well that takes me back to high school and junior high like a time machine cleverly disguised as a hot eighties sports car....

Any chance it was meant as a criticism of the class and he just misspelled "dumb"?

I always think movement in ANY direction is better than limbo. Perhaps not with threat levels though...

If he were dyslexic, he would be spelling out MOOD. And for that, you could just get him a nifty ring that changes colors.

Fragrant Liar said...

Was a paperclip strategically pinning a bunch of pages together so that if you opened it, he'd know? Cus I think DOOM is probably just a quaint acronym for Dear Old Obsessed Mom, not that you're old. Or perhaps it stands for, Don't Open and Ogle, Mom. Kids are sneaky like that.

At least you've been warned...

Perhaps he's dyslexic and keeping a journal of his emotions...

Anna! This has nothing to do with the post, but thought of you today when I saw this on "The Knot". I don't know if you'll be able to see it but here's the link:

No making fun of my last name, now.

My theatre prof said that mood was doom spelled backward.

I am sure there is a connection somewhere in that profound statement.

Doom huh?

That was what I called Algebra class since I never knew WHAT the heck was going on in there.

I wish I'd had that kind of clarity when I was in school. All my rants, tears and bad poetry could have been distilled into this one word.

Heavenstomergatroy! I used to hate those composition books in school, because the binding was sewn together. That meant, if I made a mistake or wrote something I didn't want anyone else to read, I couldn't just rip the page out.

If I did, the jig was up!

Always stick to the perforated notebook. Much easier to hide the doom!
