Brad Pitt Hand-Launders My Unmentionables

I don't know what that's all about, either.

It was the first sentence that came to mind when I woke up this morning. I am considering going under hypnosis to uncover the backstory. I will, naturally, keep you posted.

"The Pumpkin Stays in the Picture"

That's the title of my new post on LA Moms Blog. It's a lighthearted little homage to an old-school Halloween tradition. Here's a clue...see if this rings any bells (or kettle drums):

Phull-On Phresh-Baked Pherocious Foto Phestivity

Okay, so I've been tagged by two bloggy buds (both of them bitchin') for a photo-post deal.

My favorite Crack Mommy over at Blicky Kitty (a truly awesome blog) is demanding that I cough up the fourth photo from my fourth album or she's going to go public with the eleventh photo from the little red vinyl album that I keep in my nightstand.

Meanwhile, Sherry at My Loonyverse (who claims to "suck at meditating") has countered with a stipulation that I hand over the sixth photo in my sixth folder or the ferret gets it. (And, folks, she's just crazy enough to do it.)

Skilled conflict resolution guru that I am, I will now average these two memes. Yessss. (And, to my children who are always saying that they shouldn't have to do math homework because they'll never use math in "real life," I say, "In your faces!")

I give you the fifth photo from my fifth album:

This is a photo from our wedding. (Not really.) This is a photo from quite a few Halloweens ago when I was going to a party with Jon Bon Jovi (not my husband's real name). I call it "Tweedledum and Dummer."

Side note: After convincing the understandably reluctant Jon Bon Jovi to wear the silly costume (using the argument that he wouldn't know anyone there anyway so who cared?), we arrived at the party to find that there were (totally coincidentally) several people from his office there who weren't aware of his, shall we say, whimsical side. All I can say is, it takes a big man to holds his head(s) up high in that kind of situation.

And, while we're on the meme subject, I want to give a big quack to AngieSS over at Cup of Snarky Humor Blog. She also just tagged me for the Seven Quirky Things About Me meme that I answered in my last post.

Meme Mash-Up

In an effort to comply with our new low-emissions blog policy here at LJKGW, I am smooshing two memes together to create a...hybrid meme. That's right, I'm tagging the following seven blog buds to either:
  1. List 7 weird or quirky things about themselves, or
  2. Post the 5th photo from their 5th album for the whole dang world to see
And here they come now...

And finally...

Haiku for an Un-Zen World (#1)

Pup, your sly face shows
that which I have suspected -
you pooped on the couch.

What we need to find out is which unmentionables did he wash? Were they the cute little Victoria Secret numbers or the big old Granny panties that you can buy at the gas station next to the single razor and micro can of shaving cream? The answer to that would give everyone a view into your psyche.

They are playing Charlie Brown on Tuesday night on ABC. We watch it every year.

Thanks for mentioning laundry - I had a load of dog towels in the washing machine - your post title reminded me to put them in the dryer. My dogs own a set of 6 bath sheets. So, okay - they were demoted from my own set when I opted for a new set that wasn't tattered and frayed. But still- bath sheets - for dogs.
Love your Haiku.

Hey, thanks for the shout out, Sweetie!

You and Bon Jovi are adorable!

hehehe...I bet he caught flack at the office for that costume for quite some time.

*I can't believe you lured me with visions of Brad Pitt doing laundry -- tease! :P

The question isn't which of the underthings Brad was rinsing out...the question is WHY he was doing the rinsing.

(just think- if Bill had asked Monica to rinse, the state of affairs would have a wholly different meaning)

Well, you certainly have the art of combining mass quantities of topics down - very nice!

Man you must be one serious hottie in bed....otherwise he would NEVER have put that costume on! Pretty funny that he ran into co-workers.

And just so you know...today was one of the most special days I've had all year. I got a lovely little box in the mail. Damn mailman left it out in the rain...had there been any damage I would have tracked him down and hurt him bad! But HAPPY DAY HAPPY DAY! I have my special prize. THANK YOU again. I can't wait for my next day off so that I can have some fun with it!!! My hubby already tested it's uni-brow capabilities. Life is sooo good right now!

What if you go under hypnosis to discover that it actually did happen and Brad Pitt gave you a roofie????????????

Altho' I suppose the roofie-givin' type aren't usually the underwear-washin' type.

Either way, thanks for the visual.

Everytime I see a photo of you you're in costume. What's up with that?

So, you've thrown down the "meme gauntlet" in my direction have you? I don't know if I should be honored or not. I've not had many follicled faced women (not that that's a bad thing, or anything) wanting to pry, or prey, so deeply into my life. This is new territory.

I'll see what I can throw up, or rather on. Give me time though, child - this is so sudden. I need time to think - options - options - so many options!!

BTW: The word verification for this post is... "countedl." Is that significant or anything?

BTWA: The next word verification was "pronally." Funny hun? To quote a friend of mine... This "just keeps getting weirder."

How do you still manage to look cute in that costume?

See I'd just be mortified for Brad Pitt to be anywhere near my cotton discount unmentionables. I'd want him to at least think that I spend the day lounging around in Christian Dior undergarments (and not sweat pants) and imagine me (without laughing) looking good in them. I think I'd have to hit the expensive undy store and hope he doesn't notice that the price tags were still on.

I think I need to know more about Brad Pitts. His hand washing unmentionables is awfully sexy.

Those Halloween costumes you and your man are wearing are hilarious. He's a good sport. That being said, did you have a hard time moving around and sitting down? What an uncomfortable looking costume!

My dog looks totally ashamed when she has an accident. She hides.

Fun post!

I think I'd totally black out something like Brad Pitt washing anything of mine. I'd go in for the hypnotherapy only to bury it further.
I could never get my hubby to dress, let alone dress up for a party. I am getting my peach fuzzed teenager to dress up as Shaggy to escort his little brother, Scooby, for Halloween.
An interesting challenge you've bequeathed me. Decisions, decisions....

I don't know what to say. You crack me up. I just choked on my dentures, man. Awesome pic!!!!

Why do you call your husband "pup"?

You. Make. Me. Laugh.

thanks for that!

That little clip rang a few tambourines for me. Is that weird?
I heart CBS and their "special presentations" of yore. They rank right of up there with those "Very special episodes" of Home Improvement. Oh look, something shiny.

That is a great picture! I don't think I could ever convice my hubby to wear that. As always LOVE reading your blog

I saw that clip and immediately envisioned a young John Travolta in a bubble.

I wish I had your mad mathematical mashup skillz.

Between the title and the picture (the one in my head of your husband talking to his coworkers in the silly outfit), you got two snickers out of me. Sorry, but that's all I can do; I'm at work.

Thanks for the shoutout! Sorry for the late reply -- I'm leaving for New York in the morning so I'm running around like crazy right now. I'll try to work on the meme during the flight tomorrow - hopefully I can post it by tomorrow night! Thanks again!

I popped over to catch the last act of your "Bride of Frankenstein".
"Tweedledum and Dummer" - I love that!
Wow! You make my 5th of 5th photo look like an invitation to come over and watch me blow dry my hair.

There are so many funny people out there. What did we all do before we had the blog outlet (see how I lumped myself in there)?

I think many of us just went completely bonkers. In fact, before blogging, I bet we had more people in aslums. Joan Crawford could never have made "The Snake Pit" if blogging had existed. Think about it.

I wonder what the 5th pic in her 5th album would have been. I'm sure Bette Davis's would have been a nude.

Kat (Ever since Blicky's post about word-verification, I've decided to sign off with the current one, so: monescr to you!

I forgot; what the heck was that CBS special presentation? Afterschool special perhaps? Gotta go check out your post.
